Melissa Pagliari
Attorney
Erie native Attorney Pagliari graduated from the Pennsylvania State Dickinson School of Law and then returned to Erie to begin her legal career. She has spent her entire career helping families in Erie and surrounding counties with their legal matters.
Attorney Pagliari concentrates in all matters related to divorce, custody and support. Additionally, she routinely represents parties involved in legal matters with the Office of Children and Youth and other Orphan’s Court litigation.
In addition to representing biological parents in custody and support matters, Attorney Pagliari also assists adoptive and foster parents, grandparents, guardians, and same-sex couples in all family law matters.
Kelsey Sheely
Attorney
Kelsey M. Sheely was raised in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. Kelsey received her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University, followed by her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she received a prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award in family law, the Wilder, Mahood, McKinley & Oglesby Family Law Award, participated in the University of Pittsburgh Family Law Clinic and served as topics editor for the Journal of Environmental & Public Health Law.
Kelsey began her legal career practicing at a well-known family law firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kelsey has since returned to the Erie area to continue her diverse practice covering all areas of family law including divorce, support, and custody. Kelsey is also trained in collaborative law.
Kelsey’s meticulous preparation and attention to detail allow her to identify and leverage each case’s unique components. An exceptional communicator, Kelsey explains all conditions to her clients throughout divorce and custody proceedings so they are always aware of their case standing.
Melissa Shirey
Attorney
Attorney Shirey completed the majority of her education in Erie County. She received her bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Behrend College and her Master’s degree from Gannon University. She then attended The Ohio State University for law school and upon completion of her degree, returned to live and work in Erie County.
Attorney Shirey concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration and real estate.
As to family law, Attorney Shirey handles divorce, support and child custody cases, adoptions, surrogacy and assisted reproduction technology related issues. Attorney Shirey also handles guardianships for both minors and for adults that are incapacitated.
Attorney Shirey has successfully litigated cases at both the trial court level in Pennsylvania, as well as before the Pennsylvania Superior Court. One of Attorney Shirey’s cases received national media attention and established law in Pennsylvania regarding the custody rights of a biological parent versus that of a surrogate.
In addition to litigation, Attorney Shirey is a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer.
